Green Valley Lake

Green Valley Lake is a sweet town that sits between Running Springs and Big Bear, at approx. 7000´ elevation. It is truly one of the best kept secrets on the mountain due GVL sign 1 2010to its seclusion (nearly four miles away from State Highway 18) and surrounded by lush National Forest. It is tiny, picturesque, and uncrowded.

But don’t be fooled by its small size, as it stays busy all the time, with its cute little lake that is stocked with loads of fish, a beach for swimming and plenty of areas to hike, rock climb, camp, cross country skiing. You can rent a cabin, stroll to the shops and restaurants from anywhere in town.
