The Wishing Well, at  The Village in Lake Arrowhead, has something for everyone; for you, your home, or a gift for that special someone in your life. And take it from me, everthing in The Wishing Well IS special! Collectibles. Fine Art. Furniture. Antiques. Cards. Clocks…and so much more.

Mary Kelley, owner of The Wishing Well since February 2002, is the heart and soul behind this wonderful shop. When asked what her favorite part of owning the store is, she was quick to answer, ”Meeting people.”  And, having her regular clientele come back again and again. “I have several buyers that actually drive up to Lake Arrowhead for certain things they can’t find anywhere else.” she added.

Besides the household items of furniture, linens, lamps and blankets that Mary carries in her store, you will be amazed at her spectacular line of collectibles: Wee Forest Folk, Harmony Kingdom, Jim Shore, Willow Tree and on and on. The most commonly sold items in the store are the candles, with Woodwick Candles being a top favorite among buyers. And Mary does free gift wrapping for those requesting it (usually the guys).

For all you pooch lovers, you will not find a more Pet-Friendly store at the Village than The Wishing Well (except maybe  The Three Dog Bakery). As I was snapping pictures, a customer opened the door & peeked in, then hesitated. “Please! Come in and bring your dog!” Mary waved the man inside.  You will see from my photos, that Mary Kelley meant what she said.

The next time you’re in Lake Arrowhead, at the Village, make sure you visit The Wishing Well.

You will flip over “Lilies Sandals!” Why? Because they’re absolutely the cutest FLIP-FLOPS in town. Lorene Carricaburu, creator of Lilies Sandals, came up with this fun idea after seeing similar decorated FLIP-FLOPS costing $100.00.  She thought, “Hey, I can make these and make them more affordable.” And she did just that.

Each pair takes a lot of time creating, as Lorene slowly, and carefully, attaches the Swarobski Crystals one-by-one. Lilies Sandals come in an array or colors and sizes:  women’s from 5 and up. The single strand pairs cost a mere $25.00 and the triple strand pairs are only $35.00.  Remember, those crystals are attached ONE-BY-ONE.  Or for a couple of dollars, you can purchase a non-Crystal pair.  

Lorene’s very good friend, Carrie Penny, joined her on this creative adventure and has come up with Free Birds. Her FLIP-FLOPS are gently covered with feathers (she purchases the feathers from craft stores), and the price tag on her FREE BIRDS FLIP-FLOPS are $25.00.
